In 2000, Haley Joel Osment captured everyone’s attention with his character Trevor McKinney, “paying it forward” to improve the lives of others. With Thanksgiving approaching next week, we reflect on what we are thankful to have in our lives. It can be amazing how the little annoying things, such as spilling on your favorite shirt or forgetting your wallet at home become laughable nonsense in wake of tragic situations.
Many nights and weekends we get to see the various organizations that create programs and campaigns for those less fortunate than themselves. It has been rewarding to be a part of fundraising efforts and to see the effect each fundraiser has had on the community.

Charity Navigator – This site helps you determine where you might want to charitable give money. There are helpful resources on this site that may give you some inspiration.
Just Give – Helps you sort through charities that are near you, charities by category, and charities that have immediate needs.
